A Christian Nation's Tipping Point

socratesThere is an excellent book by Malcolm Gladwell entitled The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference. In the book Gladwell speaks of how ideas or fads suddenly become the rage and everyone is clambering to have a part of the action. He writes that, "the best way to understand the emergence of fashion trends, the ebb and flow of crime waves, or, for that matter, the transformation of books into bestsellers, or the rise of teenage smoking, or the phenomena of word of mouth, or any number of the other mysterious changes that mark everyday life is to think of them as epidemics. Ideas and products and messages and behaviors spread just like viruses do." There are three characteristics to change, one; it is contagious, two; little causes have big effects and three; that change happens not gradually but at one dramatic moment. The Tipping Point. What is the tipping point that has moved our nation from one under God to one that appears to be above God? While it seems to be a gradual decline I believe that there has to have been one dramatic moment that was the genesis of this change. What do you feel was that dramatic event?
